Camp Hope Richmond

“wHAT DO YOU DO FOR THE KIDS IN YOUR COUNTRY?”

A simple conversation and this big question shifted everything. God took us halfway around the world to open our eyes and hearts to our own community. Established in 2009, Camp Hope Richmond serves approximately 250 children each summer. We partner with local organizations who serve vulnerable children all over metro Richmond. Our goal is to help catapult relationships, encourage our partners, and to stand together all year long as we love and serve amazing kids and their families.

OUR TEAM

More than 200 volunteers come together for Camp Hope Richmond each summer. Some serve as staff at camp, others volunteer for specific jobs or shorter assignments - but the impact is equally as great for those who volunteer and those who attend camp.

I am a pastor at The Bridge RVA-a church for children...and adults. We have had the privilege of sending children to Camp Hope Richmond for the past 3 summers. This year we had 24 attend, including 6 older teens who returned as volunteers. These teens transitioned from ‘being served’ to ‘serving others’. They, along with all the younger children will talk enthusiastically about Camp until next summer. It’s a worthwhile investment, as I witness the fruit in the weeks and months that follow Camp.
